Aesthetic veneers

Dental veneers, better known as aesthetic veneers, are ceramic shells that are applied to the external surface of the tooth to improve its aesthetic appearance and therefore the patient's smile, hiding various types of defects that can be the shape, color or poor positioning of the tooth itself.

Aesthetic dental veneers are considered as special prostheses; in fact, being made of porcelain or ceramic, they are cemented onto the surface of the teeth, just like fake nails.

Le faccette dentali, però, non sono indicate per tutti i pazienti: una attenta selezione dei casi è necessaria per assicurare il successo del trattamento.

Le faccette dentali devono assicurare un’estetica ottimale, una lunga durata nel tempo senza discolorazioni e un’armonia funzionale con gli altri denti. Per compiere questo tipo di intervento, il dentista dovrà rimuovere la giusta quantità di smalto che corrisponde allo spessore della faccetta, favorendo il fissaggio di queste ultime sui denti naturali del paziente.
